My Story
What started as a lockdown hobby led to a career!
I baked my first cake during lockdown for my mom’s birthday. I can still remember the experience clearly, as I was so proud of the outcome. It was the first time I felt a deep passion for something other than being in the ocean.
As an avid competitive surfer, I struggled with my passion being taken away from me during lockdown. In retrospect, it was a blessing that led to my career as a Baker. In 2021, I enrolled in Blue Ribbon Culinary School to enhance my skills. During this time I started making chocolate chip cookies and selling them as a little side hustle while I was doing my course. I also started experimenting with different cake recipes with the goal of achieving the best flavour and quality.
After qualifying, I decided to be brave and took the plunge of becoming an entrepreneur and founded Batter & Dough. I am excited about my journey and delighting customers with my attractive baked treats.
